Our History

Jerry and Brian Williams are a father and son team with a long history in the business, an obnoxious attention to detail, and loads of talent!

Jerry started building custom street rods in the mid 70’s as a hobby.  Brian grew up around cars all his life and got his heart set on the dream of building cars for life…..and a living.

Jerry's hobby cars begin to draw much attention and there came request after request from other auto enthusiast to see the kind of talent, attention to detail, and down right passion for custom built rods put into their own cars.  In 1997 Brian and Jerry officially began building cars for customers in a shop out “back of the house.”

The talent and potential was noticed by many.  Gilbert Propes began to take notice in the talent that Brian possessed as well as the experience that Jerry possessed and begin using them for all of his sheet metal, custom parts, body and paint work.  As Gilbert grew on to bigger and better opportunity he entrusted the total custom and restoration work to Jerry and Brian.  Gilbert Propes is still at the shop daily checking on things and is available for advising and consulting or just a good laugh.

Steve Bacorn, car owner, noticed that the talent in the “shop out back” could be further realized by moving to a store front.  Thanks to his encouragement, the “shop out back” moved to a large store front by the Baldwin Air Port.  The demand continues and with the help of several shop hands and mostly the help of God, GTS Customs, Inc. is born.
